…and finally, going to Brazil
It’s been an incredible year so far. Over the last months, Shawn Bass and I were busy testing various popular Windows remoting protocols in our vendor-independent labs. It was all about installing available remote desktop products out of the box on reference hardware and finding out how it feels like when using applications with different graphics formats. Our test setup was like a race track with RDP, RemoteFX, ICA/HDX, PCoIP and EOP as the race cars – need for speed. Throughout the year, Shawn and I were using the materials derived from these tests for our training classes in Norway, France, Sweden, Germany and the US. In addition, we were invited to speak about remoting protocols at various industry events, such as Citrix Synergy, BriForum and ice:Lingen. Presenting our results at Microsoft TechEd Europe last month created some extra buzz in the market after Microsoft decided to make the video of this session publicly available.
Now the year is almost over, but there’s a final thing to do. Next week Shawn and I will be in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to teach our one week RDS and XenApp/XenDesktop expert training class there. For the first time, MVP and CTP Claudio Rodrigues will join us as a co-trainer. I’m really looking forward to meeting with Brazilian IT professionals and teaching the last master class of this year – together with two exceptional experts and at such a spectacular place.
Claudio, welcome to the team!
