For many of my articles and presentations, I use the EUC Score Toolset to measure and quantify perceived end-user experience in remote application and digital workspace environments, both on premises and in the cloud. The underlying and vendor-independent test methodology is built on the combination of running simulated workloads ("Simloads"), collecting telemetry data on the system under test, capturing screen videos on the endpoint device, and visualizing the results in a unique way - fast, precise, repeatable and intuitive.

The EUC Score Toolset was designed for proactive synthetic testing scenarios. Good examples are pre-production benchmarking and performance testing, ad-hoc system diagnostics and analysis, quality assurance and control, service level agreement management, and end-user computing research.

Version 26.01 of the EUC Score Toolset is now live! Below are the new features and changes.

New features

• Two new test screens were added to the SL0-TestScreen Simload to check color subsampling (YUV 4:4:4, 4:2:2 or 4:2:0)
• A new Simload Powershell script was added for each Persona Simload (= type 2 Simload)
• A new -NoTelemetry switch added to all Simload scripts allows the launch of a Simload without collecting telemetry data
• A digitally signed version of each Simload PowerShell script was generated and placed in Scripts\Signed folder
• The SL2-PowerUser and SL2-MediaUser Simloads were added to the EUCScoreEnterprise3rdParty installer
• New and updated scripts were added to build Sync Player clips

Changes and bug fixes

• Naming bug fixed in the MSEdgeGifScroll1 and MSEdgeGifScroll2 scripts
• sDataPath typo fixed in ChromeMonsterHTML5 Simload
• Bug fixed in the lordoftherings.txt file used in the NotepadEdit Simload
